Big news!

Friday, October 6th, 2006

Hey all–
Taihen taihen! This e-mail serves double purpose as a reminder and a good news / bad news bit. The bad news is that Mushishi is no longer available for download through the website, even though the last episode has not yet been fansubbed (grrrr). The good news is that this is because it’s been licensed–it’s coming to the US! (Huzzah for anime companies actually recognizing Greatness when it picks them up by the collar and slaps them in the face!) The bad news is that the licensor is Funimation. But hey, maybe they’ll do a really good job this time…
The reminder: tomorrow night we finish Blue Sub #6! That extra-long episode will consume the majority of our time, but we’ll also be watching a really interesting Yume Tsukai about the dangers of ignoring mild-mannered office ladies, as well as a super Windy Tales about a flying squirrel named Acorn (which is also one of the most feel-good things we’ll ever watch). Don’t miss it–and don’t worry, I checked the sound during the week. ;-)
