Here is your weekly reminder to not forget to attend anime club this Saturday night. Take a break from your stressful week full of tests and studying (as I will be doing) and come and relax with an episode of Hayate the combat butler! Many thanks again to Rachel who brought us brownies last week, if all goes well and I have money, I’ll see if I can bring something for everyone to snack on.

Hey All,
Finally, here is an other reminder to not miss Anime Club this Saturday in AC337 from 7pm-9pm. Last week the mailing list rejected my email for some reason (I think it had to do with the image of the new poster I attached to the email) anyhow, we will once again be viewing our normal line up. Also, I uploaded the first 3 episodes of Hayate the Combat Butler to the website, http://bethelanime.ath.cx, for download. Later on I’ll get Nodame Cantabile up there as well, for now you can download them while they are unlicensed (except for Matt Fisher of course . . . ..), see you all this Saturday!

The Bethel Anime Club Summer Meetings Thursdays, AC337, 7:00pm .
Hey Everyone,
The first Anime Club meeting of the semester will be this Saturday, September 8th in AC337 from 7pm – 9pm. For this first meeting, I was planning on sampling some shows we were thinking about watching this semester, this will be our lineup: Nodame Cantabile, Read or Die TV, Hayate the Combat Butler, and Rozen Maiden. I’ll take any other suggestions if anyone has them, although I think these series will be more than enough to fill the semester. I will try and bring some food as well, so you have no reason not to show up, I’ll see you all there!

You may find, Matt, that it’s less a problem of not being open to suggestions than of receiving suggestions only from yourself and Dr. Gossett. 
But weren’t you going to nominate “Wolf’s Rain” as well, for the new kiddies? If you cut out the recap DVD (which is pointless) it’s only 26 episodes…

PS: Pocky here is relatively cheap, but I actually haven’t run across any Ramune. I have been misled!
PPS: And the anime section at the movie/music store in the local mall is smaller than the one in the Best Buy at home. Mind you, the whole store is half the size of Best Buy’s DVD section, but still…
PPPS: And wow, they want you to buy the Complete Ghibli Collection. They know that it costs more than your house, but they still fill a display rack with it and run ads non-stop.
